How to go :

By car: From Bangkok, use Highway No. 1 then Highway No. 32, take Highway No. 117 heading to Phitsanulok and then take Highway No. 11 for another 695 kilometers to Chiang Mai city

 

What / Why :

The 14th century temple of Wat Suan Dok is located west of the old city walls on Suthep Road. The name of the temple roughly translates to ‘the field of flowers’. It houses the 500-year-old Buddha image.
