By car: From Bangkok, use Highway No. 1 then Highway No. 32, take Highway No. 117 heading to Phitsanulok and then take Highway No.1 1 for another 695 kilometers to Chiang Mai city

The oldest temple in Chiang Mai town is located in the northeast corner of the old city. Wat Chiang Man was built in 1296 by King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai.
