ATTA Gallery, the only gallery in Thailand specializes in Contemporary Art Jewelry, proudly presents an exhibition of duo artists Beate Klockmann of Germany and Philip Sajet of the Netherlands from January 10 – February 9, 2012, with Opening Reception on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 between 6.30 - 8.30 p.m.
- Philip Sajet (b. 1953) is an established Dutch artist who is a constant player in the scene of contemporary jewelry in Europe. Since the late 80’s, Philip has created beautiful jewelry art, taught at many design and art schools, taken parts in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and featured in many publications as well as more than 15 public collections worldwide. He has also won many praises and awards due to the uniqueness in his jewelry creations. His main interests lie in the technical part of the art of jewelry making and in communicating through his jewelry important human satisfaction in expressing their identity and vanity.
- Beate Klockmann (b. 1972) is a well-known German artist who has created intricate, yet bold jewelry since 2007, upon her graduation from Hochschule für Kunst und Design, Burg Giebichenstein under Dorothea Prühl. Her works can be seen in many publications and public collections. For Beate, jewelry is a living thing—a kind of exotic creature that joins our lives for a while. That's why she pays special attention to structures and surfaces of her creations in order to mirror the landscape and the changes in atmosphere.
