How to go :
• By car: Use Phahonyothin Rd (No.1), travel northward, passing Nam Phra-In Gate., then take Highway No. 32 to Ayutthaya, and turn left around Km.35 (7 kilometers) to the Palace
• By Bus: Depart from Northern Bus Terminal, and for Bang Pa-in
• By train: Take a train from Hua Lamphong Station to Bang Pa-in Station, then connect a minibus/motor tricycle to the Palace
• By boat: From Bangkok, take Chao Phraya Express from Tha Maharat - Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Craft Center - Bang Pa-In Palace
What / Why :
Bang Pa-In Summer Palace was first used by the Royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century. However, the Palace was destroyed with the fall of Ayutthaya and was restored by King Rama IV in the mid-19th century.
